Ferrari Enzo Electronics
The Enzo is Ferrari's first example of the complete integration of vehicle control systems. Engine, gearbox, suspension, ABS/ASR, and aerodynamics all interact to help optimize vehicle performance and safety.
This integration draws directly on Ferrari's unique Formula One knowledge and experience to develop, fine tune, and synchronize the car's various active subsystems including the engine, gearbox, suspension, aerodynamics, and the ABS/ASR. Special sensors and management modules are employed to share and act on data.
During gear changes, the transmission control becomes "master" of the system, directly managing the clutch, ordering the engine control to follow up a torque reference and defining damping effort from the suspension control to prevent the car from pitching.
The systems' interaction depends on the Enzo's driver selected settings: Sport, Race, No ASR.
